This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

If the post is assessed as a "regulated role", your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. Role and Responsibilities
The Postholder is responsible for providing day-to-day Operational Management of the Domestic Services Department, including Linen and Sewing Room Services within a defined area of NHS Lothian which includes Hospitals, Health Centres, Scottish Ambulance Service depots and vehicles, Residencies, Office and Support Accommodation.
The postholder is responsible for managing delivery of domestic services to patients, staff and visitors, ensuring identified and auditable standards of cleanliness are met and maintained within all clinical and non-clinical environments. The postholder ensures the service delivered is compliant with Hospital Environment, Hospital Acquired Infection, Food Hygiene and other relevant regulations and guidance.
The Postholder is responsible to the Site Services Manager regarding Domestic Services and all related hygiene matters.
