Here at Vertu Accident Repair Centre Doncaster, as part of our continued growth we are now looking for a Vehicle Damage Assessor/Workshop Controller to join our team. We are offering a competitive basic salary of £40,000 with excellent company benefits. As our Vehicle Damage Assessor/Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for preparing accurate vehicle repair estimates using a pricing matrix, managing invoicing and credit control, and leading a team of schedulers to ensure efficient service delivery. This role serves as the primary contact for customer queries, collaborates with regional managers, ensures compliance with industry standards, and supports continuous improvements Key Responsibilities: Prepare and validate repair estimates based on a structured pricing matrix, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Act as the primary point of contact for customer queries related to repair costs, timelines, and service expectations. Oversee the scheduling team to ensure optimal workflow planning and resource allocation. Manage invoicing processes and credit control activities in alignment with company financial procedures. Collaborate with Regional managers to ensure estimates align with operational capabilities. Ensure compliance with industry standards, insurance requirements, and internal quality controls. Support continuous improvement initiatives across estimating, scheduling, and customer service functions Coordinating and assigning work to a small but busy team of Vehicle Technicians Supporting day-to-day workshop planning and making sure everything runs smoothly Managing time and resources to ensure we meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards Helping the team stay productive, supported, and motivated What we’re looking for: Experience in the motor trade—ideally in aftersales or a workshop setting You might already be in a Workshop Controller role, or you may be a Senior Technician looking for the next step.
