Job Description
To maintain compliance with the Company’s systems in relation to the requirements of HS&E (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, Quality (ISO 9001).
To ensure that all standards are established and communicated to allow Project activities to be carried out in compliance with relevant standards and procedures to satisfy customer requirements.
To oversee HSE resources on Projects, to ensure an effective, efficient and professional approach is taken to all relevant matters.
To support Projects and internal departments in meeting all Management System and Specification requirements through the regular monitoring, auditing and reporting of performance, and assisting in the development of Project-specific plans, processes and procedures necessary to ensure compliance and provide for improvement in the Company’s Health, Safety & Environmental performance.
The Role
* To maintain compliance with and develop the Company’s systems in relation to the requirements of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 3834 and EN 1090 and to ensure that these meet business needs and legal requirements.
* Advise and Support Production to ensure that all Risk Assessments are in place, that all employees are aware and comply with same.
* Advice and Support Production to ensure all employees are trained to use the tools they need to undertake their work and ensure that PPE requirements are complied with.
* Ensure that the Company meets all statutory requirements in relation to Health, Safety and the Environment.
* Ensure that the HSE staff assigned to Projects operate in compliance with the Company’s systems, and enforce compliance by them and all Project personnel in a systematic and consistent way.
* In conjunction with the Board and Senior Management colleagues develop systems to support the needs of further standards that the Company will require to meet its business needs.
* Assist Management in the development of HSE Policies and Objectives, and other system elements.
* Liaise and interface with the Client, suppliers and other third parties in relation to systems operations, including hosting audits and assessments.
* To ensure internal departments and suppliers are regularly audited in compliance with the requirements of the standards and the Company’s systems.
* Develop processes and procedures that ensure Projects meet the requirements of the relevant Management System, standards and Specifications, and enable Project staff to carry out their roles and responsibilities effectively.
* Monitor the Company’s performance in the relevant areas, measure this against benchmarks and develop and present regular reports and analyses that will provide a basis for identifying and implementing improvement opportunities.
* Manage and develop resources to ensure the provision of an effective service at all times to all areas of the Company.
* Ensure that the Company is kept fully aware of all developments relating to any changes in Standards, legislation and other requirements.
* To ensure that all relevant Project documentation is completed and submitted.
Qualifications
* NEBOSH Diploma
* Demonstrates competency in line with the requirements above.
* Ability to interpret legislation; write policies and investigate accidents.
* Ability to influence behaviours to create a safe working environment.
* Carry out risk assessments, audit and review performance.
* Demonstrates Leadership qualities in line with Company ethos.
