About the Role
You’ll work directly with children, young people, and families, providing one-to-one and group support to help young carers build confidence, independence, and resilience. You’ll also plan and deliver social groups, holiday activities, and awareness sessions to ensure young carers are fully supported.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct Early Help and Transition Assessments
* Develop and implement support plans with key agencies
* Deliver peer-to-peer social groups and holiday activities
* Provide accommodation support within Adult Services
* Support leaving care for 16+ children
* Raise awareness of young carers across services
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in family support and assessments
* Comfortable working with children and teenagers (youth work experience preferred)
* Ability to work independently and manage your own calendar
* Knowledge of young carers (desirable but not essential)
* Full UK driving license required
Role Details
* Pay Rate: £14.13 per hour
* Hybrid working – mix of office and community-based work
* 37 hours per week (core hours 10:00–16:00, flexible around this)
* Face-to-face interviews
* Flexible working pattern:
* Tuesday & Wednesday for group work
