Responsibilities Surveying of Fire Doors, Passive Fire stopping, and Compartmentation lines within Social Housing, MOD, Health care settings, Care homes, and educational settings Carrying out detailed fire door and fire stopping surveys, providing guidance and advice to Fire Door and Fire stopping teams Covering the East Anglia area, including Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridge, Peterborough and Hertfordshire Working within a team and lone working Trouble shooting issues and rectifying to compliant standards and best practice, on occasion adjusting closers, changing locks and replacement of FR Letterboxes etc. All surveys to be recorded on supplied iPad using Plan Radar application (Training will be given) About You Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Fire Door and Fire Stopping Surveyor Fire Door installer or Fire stopper on the tools background (Preferred) Strong knowledge within the Passive Fire industry (regulations, certification etc.) Full Clean UK Driving Licence Basic IT competency Familiar with FIRAS and/or B.M Trada certification schemes (Preferred) Experience with using fire evidence-based apps like Plan Radar, Bolster, CCS Systems, Site Audit Pro etc. (Preferred but training will be given) Polite, friendly, flexible can-do attitude A strong team player, but able to carry out lone working too Strong interest in fire safety and willingness to increase knowledge and take on new challenges Small basic tool kit, hand tools and battery drill/driver SSSTS or SMSTS (Preferred) An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check will be carried out What We Offer Excellent rates of pay and benefits, including: Salary up to £22.00 per hour (£45,780 per annum) depending on experience, plus performance-related bonus Company Van fuel card (business use) Pension scheme and life assurance 23 days’ holiday bank holidays Perkbox benefits worth up to £350 per year, including discounts, perks and wellbeing support 24/7 GP referral and wellbeing support service 1 paid volunteer day £2,000 refer-a-friend bonus after the referee passes probation Opportunities for development and progression across Axis CLC Why Axis CLC Joining Axis CLC means being part of a national team delivering essential services across housing, education, healthcare, defence and commercial property.
