An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and competent Research Assistant to join the School of Health research team for a one-year period to support ongoing research. You will work across several projects including: i) a qualitative study exploring the information needs of women with learning disability on breast cancer screening; ii) a mixed methods (surveys & interviews) study exploring healthcare professionals views of palliative care services for people with Parkinson’s. You may also provide support to ongoing projects and the development of new funding applications.
Responsibilities
* Support ongoing research projects within the School of Health, including work on qualitative and mixed-methods studies.
* Assist with study design, data collection, analysis, and dissemination as required.
* Contribute to the development of new funding applications and project proposals.
* Collaborate across multiple projects and with external partners as appropriate.
Areas of Focus in the School
RGU has five interdisciplinary research themes; this role contributes to Health & Wellbeing; Living in a Digital World; and Education Research. The School’s research is applied and practical, spanning Health & disease across the lifespan, Health services research, Evidence synthesis, and Applied educational research, with emphasis on health inequalities, digital health & care, and musculoskeletal health.
Qualifications and Experience
* Applications from qualified health professionals are particularly welcome.
* Experience or qualifications relevant to applied health research are desirable.
* Ability to work across several projects and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Salary
£35,608 to £38,784 per annum
