About the Role
RSK Geosciences, an RSK Group company, is recruiting for a Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer to join the team based in Southampton, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position. The Geosciences team delivers consultancy and design services to a wide range of external clients including engineers, house-builders, oil companies and local authorities. Responsibilities
* Design and manage a variety of geo-environmental and geotechnical ground investigation and interpretative projects for both external clients and other teams within RSK.
* Soil and rock logging to current geotechnical standards, including laboratory scheduling.
* Prepare H&S plans and RAMS.
* Preparation of remediation strategies including verification works on site.
* Establish and develop strong working relationships with new and existing clients, which is integral to the growth of the Geosciences department and the wider business.
* Provide technical leadership in the day-to-day delivery of projects.
Qualifications
* BEng or BSc or equivalent in Civil, Geology or Geotechnical Engineering or similar.
* Typically a further degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnics or Environmental Science or equivalent would be desirable.
* Registered with a suitable professional body and have Chartered status with a relevant institution (e.g., Geol Soc, CIWEM, ICE).
* Significant and demonstrable experience of geotechnical and geoenvironmental investigations and reporting.
* Demonstrable experience and ability to prepare geotechnical and geo-environmental preliminary reports.
* Full UK driving licence.
