Behaviour Support Worker - Specialist Provisions (Central Lancashire)
📍 Locations: Preston, Chorley, Leyland and Blackburn
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only (08:30am - 15:30pm)
💰 Pay: £106 - £115 per day (dependent on experience)
About the Role:
We are looking for Behaviour Support Workers to join a number of specialist education provisions across Central Lancashire, including Preston, Chorley, and Leyland.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You'll support students in overcoming barriers to learning, developing positive relationships, and achieving both personal and academic goals.
Your role will involve working closely with teachers and other support staff to create a calm, safe, and structured learning environment where every child can thrive.
What We're Looking For:
✅ No prior school experience required - full training and guidance provided
✅ A resilient, empathetic, and proactive approach
✅ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
✅ Ability to travel to schools in Preston, Chorley, or Leyland
Desirable background includes:
Experience in support work, care, or healthcare assistance
Personal experience supporting a family member or friend with additional needs
Requirements:
Must hold an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (UDS) or be willing to apply and pay for one prior to starting
Must be able to provide at least 2 years of employment references with no large gaps
