Combined Defensive Arts is a busy, thriving, friendly martial arts club in Cheltenham. We are a Family business and pride ourselves on our open approach to Martial Arts training, offering classes for children and adults in Kickboxing, self-defence and fitness. Our team is at the heart of everything we do, and we are looking for a friendly and organised Receptionist and Sales Assistant to help us run a welcoming, professional, and efficient club.
We are looking for someone who is outgoing and exceptionally organised. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all members are welcomed, supported and satisfied, that membership numbers grow, and that the membership administration is seamless.
This role would suit a confident, personable, and proactive individual who will create an excellent first impression and make members feel important and cared for. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for customer service and fitness. Hours are Monday – Thursday 3pm – 7.45pm with potential for additional hours.
Responsibilities:
* Greet members and make them feel welcome
* Manage the daily operations
* Ensure that customer service standards are met
* Handle member complaints and disputes in a professional manner
* Welcome and orientate new members
* Manage the shop, stock management and sales administration
* Grow the membership base though strong sales practices
* Support the instructors as required
* Support internal event organisation
* Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
Required
* Excellent English
* IT literacy
* Experience in a customer facing role
Desirable
* An interest in fitness and martial arts
* Experience in membership databases
* Experience in reception duties
* Experience in sales
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 19 per week
