We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Wrexham to assist with the appointment of an Admissions Officer, on a 5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Hours per week: 25

Rate of Pay: £101.31 - £133.33 per day

Summary:

The role supports the Local Authority in managing and administering school admissions across Wrexham. You will help ensure the fair and efficient allocation of school places, provide advice to parents and schools on admissions procedures, and maintain accurate records using the admissions management system.

Responsibilities:

* Manage and maintain data within the Capita ONE Admissions and Transfers system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations.
* Provide advice and guidance to parents, schools, and council departments regarding school admissions and application processes.
* Process school applications and mid-year transfers, ensuring they are handled in line with the School Admissions Code.
* Investigate application information where required and address any potential discrepancies.
* Assist with the production of admissions information, including parent guides, publicity materials, and website content.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of 3 GCSEs (or equivalent).
* NVQ Level 2 in Administration or IT (or working towards) – desirable.

Essentials:

* Experience working in a customer-focused or office environment.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and email systems.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team while meeting deadlines.
* Experience dealing with members of the public and providing advice or support.

* You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
* You should have right to work in U.K
