They are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join their growing Engineering team.
The role will to support the continual growth and development of their manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Automation and Controls Manager, you will be actively involved in the entire electrical lifecycle of onsite project requirements from inception, design, installation, testing and completion. .
Key activities and Responsibilities of a Electrical Project Engineer
* Manage plant electrical small modification and projects:
* Read, interpretate and comment on P&ID of new plant/modifications.
* Design/modify electrical schematics according to the P&ID provided.
* Generate the bill of material, technical specification for the procurement department.
* Specify the project scope to contractors in order to receive quotes for the installation/modification.
* Follow the contractors and coordinate with the Organization – Permit to Works System.
* Follow the I/O test with the Automation & Control and Electrical Maintenance Team
* Manage the update of electrical drawings to “As Installed” standard.
* Hand over the plant/modification to production - Document control.
* Work with Automation & Control team to identify and implement obsolescence replacement projects.
* Varied and challenging responsibilities in the areas of plant modification, plant engineering and project management.
* Identify solutions to a variety of plant issues with the aim of improving equipment/process safety, efficiency, and reliability.
* Provide support to the full project lifecycle from design to project delivery, training, and handover.
* Manage relationships and coordinate with consultants, vendors, clients, contractors, services providers, site based/group engineering team and production team.
Skills & Knowledge of a EC&I Engineer
* HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* Previous experience in managing multiple projects across production/manufacturing sites.
* Flexibility and adaptability
* Strength in working with others, both inside and outside of our business, and value the diversity of people and perspectives
* Hands on approach to work
* Willingness to explore various opportunities of the role, keen to manage an array of small projects, tasks and resources as needed
* Experience in a similar role required of at least 3-5 years would be advantageous

Working closely with a renowned main contractor our client has successfully negotiated a large commercial office refurbishment, consisting of the strip out to the shell and core and then a full fit out to CAT B spec. The install starts next year with the preconstruction soon to start and will run for over 12 months. As a result, the business is seeking to expand their operations team to help lead the delivery of this £25m project.
As Senior Project Engineer you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities
* H&S - Demonstrate appropriate Health and Safety leadership to ensure that the safety first and foremost message is visible and alive throughout all activities relating to the project on which they are working.
* Pre-Commencement - Participate and positively contribute to all the current pre-commencement/focus win company procedures for a project that has been allocated to the jobholder for execution and completion, to ensure that the company liabilities and risks on the project are minimised, fully adhering to the Delegated Authorities Matrix and Project Log requirements
* Re-Engineering - Review and evaluate the project works required by the specification and drawings, and re-engineer the installations and systems to ensure the precise provision of the customer’s requirements, and enhanced profitability for the company.
* Compliance - Ensure that all operational activities are carried out in compliance with internal procedure and external legislation governing business operations.

* Need to be CAD literate as you'll be producing and maintaining electrical drawings on site.
* This role would suit someone who has come up a maintenance apprenticeship route and then gone in to a Project Engineer role
* Proficient with ELCAD and EPLAN, Siemens S7/TIA Programming, Lenze Servo applications.
