CCG are recruiting HGV Class 1 and Class 2 drivers to join our team based from our Meriden depot. Applicants will be given full training and will be required to work as part of an on-call rota.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: competitive and negotiable- to be discussed at interview.
Expected hours: 40 per week Monday to Friday overtime/on-call available at an enhanced rate.
As one of our Recovery Drivers you will be working in a fast passed ever changing working environment, facilitating the rescue and recovery of our customers at the roadside.
Providing services to all the major breakdown organisations, removal services to government authorities, commercial dealerships, established bus and coach companies, heavy haulage and a wide range of local and national companies means our workloads are diverse and rewarding.

Ideally you will have some experience within the breakdown industry. Your role will include but wont be limited to the following:
Attend recoveries for a variety of customers in a safe and timely manner, recoveries may be local or national for vehicles that cannot be repaired at roadside Self-manage jobs via PDA from allocation through to completion Carry out daily checks and maintain trucks to a high standard.
Accurately document job details and maintain appropriate records in accordance with company procedures
What you need to succeed:
Experience within the recovery industry desirable but not essential Full training can be provided.
Full valid driving Licence,along with DCPC and a Digital Drivers Card
ADR and IVR preferred but not essential
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise directly with customers and control Basic mechanical knowledge, further training can be provided for the right candidate Good geographical knowledge A flexible approach to meet the needs of the business The ability to work alone and use initiative to solve problems in high-pressure situations
