Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 1 pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Post: Special Needs Teaching Assistant Employer: Mawnan Church of England Aided Primary School Salary: Fixed Term until August 2026 (initially) Grade 1:2 FTE £24,480 Hourly Rate £12.36 Start Date: as soon as possible Contract: Part time (3 days a week) and fixed Term for 1 academic year initially The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and other professionals to deliver tailored learning support and help the child access the curriculum in a meaningful and inclusive way. We are looking for: an enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant, with experience supporting children with SEN a person with energy and initiative who enjoys a challenge and is able to make positive relationships with pupils and parents someone who smiles a lot and has a good sense of humour knowledge of effective SEN strategies which can be used to support children with additional needs The role requires support for a pupil in Key Stag 1 with special educational needs so previous experience of working with SEN pupils is desirable.
