Join as a Mental Health Support Worker in Dinnington and help students build confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
Main Duties
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with mental health needs.
* Build trusting relationships that promote emotional stability and confidence.
* Support students in managing anxiety, behaviour, and emotional regulation.
* Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to implement support plans.
* Encourage positive coping strategies and engagement in learning.
* Maintain safeguarding standards and contribute to a safe environment.
Requirements of Mental Health Support Worker
* Experience working with young people with SEMH or mental health needs.
* Strong communication, empathy, and relationship‑building skills.
* Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
* Ability to manage challenging situations professionally.
* Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
