Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Brighton for the Head of Dietetics at the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. The role involves overseeing the dietetics department, leading a team of dietitians to deliver high-quality nutritional care for patients. The successful candidate will develop and implement clinical strategies, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. They will also manage departmental resources, mentor and support staff, and drive evidence-based practices to improve service delivery.
Qualifications
* Expertise in clinical nutrition, dietary management, and medical nutrition therapy
* Strong leadership and team management skills with experience supervising and mentoring healthcare professionals
* Proficient in developing and implementing clinical guidelines and service improvement plans
* Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and engaging stakeholders
* Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities in a healthcare environment
* Registered Dietitian with current HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registration
* Proven experience in a senior dietetic or management-related role
* A master’s degree or equivalent qualification in dietetics, nutrition, or a related field is highly desirable
* An understanding of NHS systems and processes is advantageous
