Overview
An administrator - receptionist is required to join the front-of-house team at Derwentside Child and Family Centre in Consett, supporting the North Durham CAMHS Service. The role involves reception duties, greeting service users, carers, staff and visitors, answering queries via telephone and email, and performing general admin tasks. The successful candidate should remain calm, communicate clearly and promote a positive culture for people living with mental health issues and/or neurodiverse conditions.
Responsibilities
* Greet and assist service users, carers, staff and visitors at reception.
* Answer queries via telephone and email and direct as appropriate.
* Maintain visitor logs and ensure information in the reception area is clearly displayed and updated.
* Perform administrative tasks: update calendars, prepare appointment letters, issue access cards, manage incoming and outgoing post and calls, photocopying, and scanning.
* Support front-of-house operations with accuracy and professionalism.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience in administration and reception within a healthcare or similar environment is desirable.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and communicate clearly with diverse groups.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency with basic IT tasks (calendar management, letters, emails, photocopying, scanning).
