Equans is looking for a Security Officer to join our team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham (B15 2WB). The role is permanent, full‑time, 42 hours per week, with a salary of £29,290 per year and a benefits package.
Shift pattern: 12‑hour shift, 2 days 07:00‑19:00, 2 nights 19:00‑07:00, 4 off.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct regular patrols to ensure the security of all hospital areas.
* Monitor security cameras and alarms to identify potential security risks.
* Respond to emergencies, including medical emergencies and security breaches.
* Assist with the management of access control systems and visitor management procedures.
* Collaborate with hospital staff and local law enforcement agencies as necessary.
* Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors and staff members.
Essential Requirements
* Clear DBS standard level clearance.
* Hold an SIA Licence.
* Full 5 years address history.
* Full 5 years work or education history.
* Applicants with prior security, law enforcement or military experience are preferred.

* Additional training in security or related fields.
