**Business Development Manager Required** To join a UK leading, international multimodal freight logistics provider at their site based in Southampton.
Reporting to the Divisional General Manager / Divisional Director, you will play a critical role in developing new business at a crucial stage of growth for this branch, for their air and ocean freight services.

Business Development Manager – Responsibilities
* New Business Development for the company’s air/ocean freight services.
* Prospect for potential new clients, develop and ultimately close the business
* Cold call as appropriate within your geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
* Identify potential clients, and the decision-makers within the client organisation.
* Research and build relationships with new clients.
* Arrange Meetings with prospective clients
* Plan approaches and pitches.
* Develop proposals that meet the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
* Client Retention
* Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships with clients.
* Work with internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
* Arrange and participate in internal and external client Meetings.

* The ability to be able to Identify customer needs and goals
