Overview
At Whittlebury Park, we are seeking an experienced Event Planner eager to elevate their career by joining our dynamic and vibrant team in managing a variety of client events.
Nestled in hundreds of acres of ancient parkland, Whittlebury offers a 254-bedroom, four-star hotel, conference and training centre, and award-winning facilities including a 3 AA Rosette restaurant, luxurious spa, and a 36-hole championship golf course.
Salary: Up to £25,396.80 based on 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
* Once bookings are confirmed by the enquiry specialist team, send a contract and start building a relationship with the client, initiating the event planning process.
* Liaise with external providers on behalf of the client in relation to outdoor activities, entertainment, transport, and other auxiliary services required.
* Work with clients to optimise upsell opportunities and provide knowledge and experience to ensure the events meet specific requirements.
* Create accurate event sheets for clients and updating as required, ensuring all final details and rooming lists are received by the required date.
* Respond to all account enquiries in a prompt, efficient, and friendly manner, while adhering to company policies on contracts, terms and conditions, yield management, and payments. Carrying out follow up calls for feedback as required.
* Meet with customers for site inspections and final detail discussions and carry out follow-up calls for feedback as required.
Qualifications
* Strong time management and organisational skills.
* Proven experience in hospitality, including restaurant and hotel settings.
* Excellent communication skills to ensure effective guest services and the ability to upsell services and products.
* Experience in event coordination and a background in providing exceptional guest experiences.
