About the Role:
Due to an internal progression, we now have the Head of Commercial, Procurement & Property position available. This is a rare opportunity that doesn’t come up often and is a key role within our organisation.
Reporting into the CFO, the Head of Commercial, Procurement & Property will lead and advise the business on Commercial, Procurement and Property matters ensuring transparency and integrity through competitive market processes, resulting in cost benefits by oversight of strategic vendor relationships, analysis and robust evaluation processes.
This will include accurate and reliable commercial and strategic advice. This role is also accountable for facilities management and the maintenance of Airways manned building portfolio, including Operational Radar Centres and Air Traffic Control towers. These responsibilities are to safeguard Airways facilities are appropriately budgeted, maintained and compliant with all legislative requirements.
Key Focus Areas:
Commercial
* Lead commercial negotiations with business partners and suppliers and establish collaborative stakeholder and strategic supplier relationships to maximise the organisation's influence, which delivers optimal value for money outcomes.
Procurement
* Lead an enterprise-wide procurement governance and management framework to monitor and drive procurement performance, ensure compliance with relevant legislative policy.
Property
* Ensure the development of a consolidated 10-year asset plan for the maintenance of Airways Control Tower building portfolio.
* Ensures the Buildings Maintenance Manager certifies all manned buildings are fully compliant with Airways policies and all regulatory and legislative requirements.
* Ensures Building Facilities Manager provides professional and expert guidance regarding building and facility infrastructure requirements.
Governance
* Supports the Executive Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team. Work with Technology, Service Delivery and Corporate Services to identify and implement enhancements to the finance, procurement and property business processes.
About You:
To be successful in the role, you will have:
* Ideally a tertiary qualification in Business or Management (or other role related qualifications).
* Ideally a full member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS).
* Minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior management / leadership roles.
* Demonstrated experience leading a procurement function within a large commercial and regulated environment.
* Proven project management experience ideally within the property, construction, or aviation industry.
* Strong analytical and MS Excel skills, knowledge and understanding of procurement and property systems and processes.
* Strong commercial acumen, negotiating, influencing and problem-solving skills at executive levels.
* Ability to lead, empower, mentor, motivate and work well with the team.
* Ability to work in a dynamic business environment, influence and collaborate with people internally and externally, show resilience and agility, take ownership and focus on delivering successful business outcomes.
