We are currently seeking a Principal/ Senior HV Plant Engineer in our Energy Team. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of projects, across various technical disciplines with clients across the country. These projects can include HVDC, interconnectors, windfarms, substations, OHL, geotechnical solutions, building design, protection systems, LVAC, FEED, new builds, refurbishment works, connections schemes, etc.
The role involves working as part of the HV team for electrical substation design projects, collaborating with other disciplines, and supporting/leading FEED and detailed design for substation refurbishment/extensions and new-build projects. Experience working with key T&D clients in the UK is preferred.

About You
You will ideally have a degree in Electrical Engineering and experience as an HV Substation / Primary Plant Design Engineer. You should have experience in designing and specifying HV Substation plant electrical power systems and related components. Understanding of P&C aspects is a plus.
You should be proactive, knowledgeable about the electricity transmission and distribution industry, capable of coaching and collaborating within the wider energy team, and engaged with the engineering community. We value innovative thinking and industry best practices.
Candidates from various technical backgrounds are encouraged to apply; Stantec offers training and development for the right individuals. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related technical field is required.
