GSL Education are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated Inclusion Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in Derby. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping all pupils, especially those with additional needs - access learning, feel valued, and achieve their full potential in an inclusive environment.
In this role of Inclusion Support Assistant, you will:
* Provide tailored support to pupils with diverse learning, social, or emotional needs.
* Promote inclusion by helping students access the curriculum and participate fully in classroom activities.
* Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), behavioural strategies, and targeted interventions.
* Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to ensure consistent, effective provision for vulnerable learners.
* Encourage positive attitudes, confidence, and independence in the pupils you support.
* Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour, and professional conduct at all times.
What You’ll Bring as an Inclusion Support Assistant:
* Experience supporting children or young people in school, care, SEN, or mentoring settings.
* A patient, empathetic approach and the ability to adapt support to individual needs.
* Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
* A commitment to inclusion and helping every child feel safe, supported, and capable.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
