Nottingham – up to £35k depending on experience
Join one of the UK’s most iconic sports and live entertainment venues – home to world-class events, global music artists, and the Nottingham Panthers!
We’re working exclusively with our client, a leader in sports, music, and live events, to recruit a Venue Services Manager for their fast-paced Facilities Department. This is a rare opportunity to combine team leadership, operational excellence, and event delivery in an environment where no two days are ever the same.
The Role
As Venue Services Manager, you’ll lead the housekeeping and venue presentation team to ensure the arena is kept to the highest possible standard — whether preparing for a sell-out concert, turning the venue around between events, or maintaining day-to-day operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will:
* Manage, motivate, and develop the Venue Services (Housekeeping) team to deliver first-class cleanliness and presentation at all times.
* Produce and manage rotas, staff records, and budgets for staffing, supplies, and equipment.
* Oversee recruitment, training, appraisals, and performance management for Facilities Team Leaders and housekeeping staff.
* Plan and deliver venue turnarounds, ensuring spaces are returned to pre-event condition or ready for the next event on time.
* Lead housekeeping audits, deep cleaning schedules, and capital replacement plans for cleaning equipment.
* Ensure compliance with all health & safety, COSHH, PPE, and uniform protocols.
* Manage waste disposal, recycling, and sustainability programmes across the venue.
* Maintain a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule for housekeeping assets.
* Act as Manager on Duty when required, adapting to varied hours including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and overnights during major events.
About You
You’ll have proven experience in venue services, housekeeping management, or facilities operations — ideally in a hospitality, events, or leisure environment — with:
* Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to inspire a diverse team.
* In-depth knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and materials.
* A solid understanding of health & safety, risk assessments, and COSHH.
* Experience managing budgets, procurement, and stock control.
* Physical fitness for hands-on operational tasks.
* Flexibility to work varied hours in line with the events calendar.
* Desirable qualifications: BICS, IOSHH Managing Safely, First Aid, IPAF.
