We are currently recruiting Behaviour Support Assistants to work in Sunderland secondary schools, with roles starting immediately. Both full-time and part-time hours are available, Monday to Friday (8:30 – 15:30). We're looking for individuals who: Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Remain calm under pressure and can manage challenging situations Work well within a team and follow guidance Are enthusiastic about supporting students to thrive emotionally and academically You will play a key role in supporting students who present with behavioural, social, or emotional needs, including those with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) challenges. This support might include working 1:1, in small groups, or alongside teachers in the classroom to promote positive behaviour and engagement. Your role will help students build confidence, develop coping strategies, and improve their focus and participation in school life.
