Job Summary
Assist with the smooth running of a busy department by combining reception, clerical and computer work. The postholder will provide an efficient, reliable administrative service to medical/secretarial staff within the Care Group. The role requires training on the electronic patient system (PAS) and all relevant administrative skills.
Main Duties
* Provide a high‑quality reception and support service within the Outpatients Department, communicating effectively with patients, relatives, the public and multi‑professional staff.
* Input patient data onto PAS, ensuring real‑time data entry and timely coding of all RTT, HRG and local procedures.
* Maintain confidentiality and comply with Trust data collection, confidentiality and privacy policies.
* Act as a role model for Trust values (PRIDE) and demonstrate inclusion, equality, diversity and respect in all interactions.
Person Specification
* Essential: Good general literacy and numeracy; previous clerical work with data input; experience in NHS or a customer‑service organisation; IT skills for accurate data entry; good communication and interpersonal skills; understanding and commitment to Equality, Diversity, Inclusion; demonstrate PRIDE values.
* Desirable: Previous reception experience; knowledge of NHS administration systems.
Contract & Remuneration
Contract: Fixed term (12 months)

Salary: £24,465 per annum
