The company is pleased to provide such assistance, and no applicant will be penalized as a result of such a request. ​ ​ JOB TITLE: Audio Engineer ​ ABOUT THE ROLE ​ A BRIEF SUMMARY Part of the Gravity Media technology team at the cutting-edge broadcast facility in Westworks, White City. Responsible for the infrastructure and operations of Audio facilities in Westworks. You must have a great sense of accountability and be able to work well within a team. You will be able to communicate clearly, both written and verbally to technical colleagues and to non-technical partners. ​ WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR · Audio Engineer, providing technical operational support in the planning and delivery of the audio production across the facility. · Provide input with regards to the audio engineering development of the expanding facility. · Understand fully all audio related client requirements, interpreting those requirements and working alongside the technical teams to ensure a smooth delivery. · Communicating all requirements to the internal teams and following up to ensure that all priorities are clear and project milestones for delivery are being met. · Creation and delivery of all technical schematic explainers and associated documentation. · Management of equipment failure to ensure minimal disruption to transmissions. · Undertake general routine maintenance and planned work. · Guarantee productions as they arise, working in conjunction with regular freelance colleagues to ensure the smooth-running of events. · Sound Supervise occasionally as required. ​ All employees are expected to contribute and participate in work activities in line with our management system to ensure the continual improvement of our business. ​ THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE · A real understanding and extensive knowledge of the audio production process, particularly in a dynamic facility. · Show a comprehensive awareness of existing and developing technologies and how they can be applied to the business. · Experience of TCP/IP networking infrastructure and multi-VLAN networks · Knowledge and experience of Calrec Audio Hydra and Impulse architecture. · Knowledge and experience of RTS comms systems, including Trunking. · Knowledge of DANTE networks, with DDM experience an advantage. · Knowledge and experience of IP-based audio routing and SMPTE-2110 standards · Knowledge and experience of Remote Production workflows. · Knowledge and experience of Studio workflows · Be pro-active and able to identify potential issues before they occur · Work at high levels of technical complexity, under programme and/or operational pressures · Accept and work to internal business processes including rules and procedures that concern emailed communication, ticketing, auditing, documentation and change processes · Ability to work both alone and as part of a team, and to remain calm under pressure · Have a positive, enthusiastic manner with an ability to react tactfully and sympathetically to requests from all stakeholders · Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
