The Role As our Compliance Business Lead for Water Hygiene and Asbestos, you'll act as the subject matter expert, embedding legislative requirements across the business and providing strategic guidance to colleagues and stakeholders. You'll develop and maintain robust governance frameworks, monitor legislative changes, and ensure our policies and procedures reflect best practice. From managing audits and assurance to overseeing contractors and investigating non-compliance, you'll make sure our approach is proactive, consistent, and customer-focused. What You'll Be Doing Lead on water hygiene and asbestos compliance, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory standards. Act as specialist advisor, providing expert guidance across the business. Develop and implement compliance strategies, policies, and training. Monitor legislative changes and update governance frameworks accordingly. Oversee consultants and contractors delivering compliance activity. Investigate non-compliance incidents and ensure remedial actions are implemented. Collaborate with stakeholders to embed best practice and continuous improvement. What You'll Bring In-depth technical knowledge of water hygiene and asbestos management, supported by relevant qualifications. Proven experience managing compliance activity at a senior or specialist level. Strong understanding of industry standards, reporting procedures, and record-keeping. Ability to influence, communicate effectively, and build strong relationships. A flexible approach with willingness to travel and participate in on-call duties. Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and ability to pass a Basic DBS check. Salary up to £53,286 plus car allowance, generous annual leave, healthcare cash plan, and pension. This is a full-time, permanent roaming role based at one of our main offices: Lichfield, Wolverhampton, Tewkesbury or Chipping Sodbury. Why join us?
