Pro1 Recruitment are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer to join a reputable business based in Swadlincote. Reporting to the HR and Payroll Manager, as the Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, maintaining payroll records, and assisting with various payroll-related tasks.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, knowledge of SAGE Payroll software, and a solid understanding of payroll processes.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data integrity
- Calculate and process adjustments, deductions, and withholdings
- Resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date with payroll legislation and regulations
- Preparation of payroll reports for management and Accountants
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data in the HR system
- Perform data entry tasks related to employee information updates or changes
- Undertake year-end payroll processes

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of SAGE Payroll
- Familiarity with Monday.com is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong analytical skills to analyse payroll data and identify discrepancies
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
- Excellent communication skills to interact with employees regarding payroll queries

Pay rate (varied based on experience)
