We have a permanent post on a full-time basis, and a further post on a part-time basis. Salary: £24,765 (pro rata based on a 37.5 hour working week) potentially increasing to £25,545 within six months. There is also an additional bonus scheme based on commission which can be up to an extra £6,500 annually. The Vacancy: We have an Event Coordinator vacancy available which we are looking to fill as soon as possible. The Company: Working for Wildlife Ltd is a fundraising/membership recruitment agency acting on behalf of wildlife charities within the UK, for whom we fundraise by attending venues and events. Each year, we raise well over £4,000,000 which contributes towards buying and managing woodlands and nature reserves, protecting threatened species, and helping people enjoy nature. Objectives: Working from our Plympton Office, the Event Coordinator’s primary role is to research, identify, and book venues such as farm shops, markets, garden centres and events throughout the UK. Much of the Event Coordinator’s working week will be spent researching potential venues via the internet, communicating with venue organisers, liaising with Working for Wildlife managers and team members, and preparing work rotas for our Fundraisers. Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate clearly and sympathetically with colleagues and clients. This role necessitates a keen attention to detail, a high level of communication skills (both written and verbal), and the ability to organise yours and others’ workloads and schedules. Very occasionally, Event Coordinators may be required to attend meetings away from Plymouth, which may necessitate an overnight stay.
