Job Description
What will you be doing?
We’re looking for an ILS Engineer to support major defence and aerospace programmes. You’ll be responsible for ensuring systems are designed with through-life supportability in mind — from concept through to in-service support.
You’ll work closely with engineering, procurement, and suppliers to influence design decisions and deliver effective support solutions.
Your main responsibilities will be:
* Deliver through-life support and sustainment across the full system lifecycle.
Develop and manage:
* Technical manuals
* Spares provisioning
* Training solutions
* Maintenance concepts
* Test and support equipment
Perform logistics and reliability analysis:
* LSAR, LORA, FMECA, RBD, Life Cycle Cost (LCC)
Manage ILS tools and data:
* Omega PS, S1000D-compliant documentation
* Influence system design for supportability and reliability
* Support ILS planning, risk management, contracts, and budgeting
Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
* Degree in Engineering, Logistics, or similar (or equivalent experience)
* Strong experience using:
* S1000D, ASD 4000, Omega PS
* LORA, FMECA, MIL-STD-217, RBD
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Confident working with data-driven decisions
* Excellent communication across multi-disciplinary engineering teams
* Understanding of defence procurement and regulations
