Description
We are looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join our growing Finance department at our state-of-the-art campus here in Silverstone.
The successful candidate will lead and develop a high-quality technical accounting function, ensuring robust, compliant and efficient financial processes across the Group. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will actively contribute to the Group's financial strategy while acting as a trusted technical expert across financial accounting, statutory reporting and controls.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
Own and deliver the monthly accounting and reporting cycle (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow)
Produce insightful monthly reporting and analysis for Senior Management
Maintain and enhance balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, fixed assets, leases and depreciation policies
Assess and implement upcoming accounting standard changes
Prepare annual analysis of competitor team financial results
Oversee submission of National Statistics surveys
Audit & Regulatory Compliance
Lead a robust and efficient statutory audit process, aligned to Group and FIA reporting timelines
Prepare position papers on complex or judgemental accounting matters
Act as the key point of contact for external auditors
Support the FIA Financial Regulations audit process
Financial Controls & Risk
Develop, implement and maintain Group accounting policies
Ensure strong, resilient and enabling financial controls across the organisation
Support adherence to financial risk management frameworks
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
CCAB qualified (ACA or ACCA preferred)
Significant Post qualification experience in financial accounting and taxation
Strong exposure to R&D Tax Credit regimes and international taxation
Proven experience advising on complex technical accounting issues
Prior experience within the Formula 1 industry or an equivalent high-performance, regulated environment
Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail
Confident communicator, comfortable influencing stakeholders at all levels
Resilient, organised and calm under pressure, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in tight deadlines
