As Lead Quality Standards and Assurance (QSA), you’ll coordinate the design, implementation, and delivery of a consistent “3 lines of defence” assurance model across the Digital and Data Profession. You’ll provide independent, constructive assurance, embedding effective standards, controls, and measures that improve quality and reduce risk. This is an emerging capability, and your work will be central to building a best-in-class assurance approach that ensures successful delivery of vital Home Office services.

What you’ll do
* Lead independent assurance and review activities across Home Office Government Digital and Data Profession, including thoroughly evaluating assurance controls through specific review projects.
* Initiate, plan, and lead internal review activities to demonstrate clear 2nd line assurance.
* Lead and set the direction to form effective internal assurance teams.
* Identify and implement recommendations (including further 2nd line assurance activities) resulting from the reviews.
* Identify and address root causes to problems early when it’s easier and more cost-effective to correct.
* Build a culture of quality management around ‘what’ is built and ‘how’ things are built and maintained, involving all members of Home Office Government Digital and Data Profession.
* Monitor dashboards, data, and process outcomes and analyse data for triggered interventions to resolve the level of assurance required.
* Create intelligent assurance reports for senior management and stakeholders to aid risk management and data-led decision making.
What you will bring
* Using recognised quality management processes and the principles of quality control, quality assurance and audit.
* Working in a complex IT product or technical delivery environment.
* Working with senior stakeholders with the ability to challenge and advise.
* Experience of delivering to technology strategies, and working with senior key stakeholders.
* Using a range of common technology patterns, development approaches and ways of working.
* Communicating confidently with senior. stakeholders including business and technical leaders, external audit teams and subject matter experts.
* Presenting clear analysis and demonstrating data led decision making with excellent writing and communication skills.
Additional Information
This role requires SC clearance. To meet national security vetting requirements, you typically need to have been resident in the UK for at least three years. Unfortunately, we cannot offer sponsorship.
