CAD Revit Engineer Building Services The mechanically biased Revit CAD Engineer will be responsible for production of design information/drawings for various projects to assist the Project Managers with the successful delivery of multiple projects nationwide across the commercial, leisure, education, and public sectors, ranging in value from £100k to £2M. Key Roles & Responsibilities Assist with the entire design process, whether from Stage 3 to Stage 5 (and beyond) or from inception to Stage 4c (or through construction, depending on project) through production of 2d and 3d design drawings and associated information (schedules and the like). Manage their own workload through close liaison with Project Managers and Project Engineers. With input/oversight from Project Managers and the Operations Director, balance timescales, client/contractor budgets, specification-requirements and buildability to develop compliant design solutions. Design (pipework/ductwork sizing, plant selections etc will be undertaken by others, however the candidate will be expected to produce drawing information from supplied technical information and mark-ups). Ensure that 2d and 3d drawings are produced to a high standard in accordance with supplied technical information at initial, construction and As Built stages of the project. Involvement in the production of handover documentation (O&Ms, As Fitted Drawings etc). Experience/Requirements The CAD/Revit Engineer shall have at least 3 years experience in the production of drawings and associated information of building services engineering systems of varying scale, value, and complexity. For clarity, the candidate will be provided with design information by others to enable them to produce drawings and associated information. A reasonable understanding of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing and drainage systems is required for the role. The ability to manage your own workload and diary in order to plan internal meetings and manage deadlines (with support from the admin team) Requirements A formal qualification in Building Services Engineering or demonstratable experience in the use of AutoCad and Revit is required for the role. Openness to develop new skills (such as the use of MEPWorx (Cymap) or Hevacomp thermal modelling software) would be preferred, but not essential. Entitlement to work in the UK is essential.
