Recruitment Manager at Stepnell | Connecting top construction talent with opportunities | Passionate about people, talent strategy, and workforce…

We are seeking a proactive Field Support Analyst to join our Technology team. Based across both our office in Beeston, Nottingham, and our construction site in the East Midlands, you’ll play a key role in providing first- and second-line IT support, enhancing system functionality, and driving user-focused improvements. This is a dynamic position where you'll work directly with employees and clients to ensure IT systems are efficient, reliable, and tailored to business needs.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide 1st and 2nd line support for all IT systems across our regional office and construction sites.
* Work closely with the IT team and end users to design, improve, and integrate IT systems and processes.
* Collaborate with employees on-site to understand their current and future IT requirements.
* Set up and maintain access for external clients to business platforms such as Field View.
* Assist with IT hardware and networking installations on construction sites.
* Support users across software platforms such as Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
* Diagnose and resolve IT issues, prioritising support needs within the region.
* Install firewalls and troubleshoot network infrastructure.
* Perform RJ45/Cat6 cable termination (training provided if required).
* Identify opportunities to enhance productivity through smarter IT solutions.
* Conduct weekly check-ins with regional teams to improve IT support delivery.
* Maintain and update a knowledge base to empower users with self-service solutions.
* Analyse support call logs to detect trends and preempt recurring issues.
* Build strong working relationships with employees and regional teams.
* Work with Regional Directors to deliver tailored IT training and development.
* Attend regular site visits and quarterly leadership forums to stay aligned with team needs and priorities.
* Capture feedback from users and champion continuous improvement in IT services.
* Support teams in simplifying and streamlining processes using technology.
* Maintain clear and accurate documentation and records of system changes and support activities.

The ideal candidate:

We are looking for someone who thrives in both technical and people-focused environments. You should be comfortable working independently, confident in troubleshooting issues, and passionate about enabling others through IT.

Strong understanding of common business software (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).

Hands-on experience with network configuration and firewall installations.

* Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Willingness to travel to construction sites and regional offices.

Desirable (but training can be provided):

* Experience with terminating RJ45/Cat6 cabling.
* Familiarity with tools and IT hardware setups on site.

Travel Expectations: Most weeks will involve one day on-site our live construction sites, with the remainder of your time spent in the office. However, as sites near their go-live dates, a greater on-site presence will be required.
