We are looking to recruit aLinuxEngineer on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Database Engineering Manager, this is a key role within the Cloud function.

TheLinux Engineerwill be accountable for the Unix infrastructure on-premisesand Linux environments in the cloud.
On a daily basis, you willbe responsible forthedesign and engineering build ofLinux /Unix / Storage solutions.You will leadon the design of less complex technology solutions, aligned to business requirements and user-led designs.In addition,you will perform comprehensive technical (unit and integration) testing ofnewsolutions. Thisrole is based on site 2 daysaweek in Preston.

The successful candidate willhave experience in a similar role. Experience of working with Cloud Platforms anda track recordof working within adatabase environment isdesiredthough not essential.
* Experience of working withLinux,Unixand SAN Solutions.
* Knowledge of Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure and GCP are desired.
* Previous experience working withinfrastructure hardware and networking would beadvantageous.
