The Standards, Innovation and Research (SIR) department is a strategic hub for Technical Risk Management (TRM) at NHBC, focused on thought leadership, stakeholder engagement, and developing technical standards, guidance, research, and competency to enhance technical expertise. You will join the technical quality team within SIR. What you'll be doing: Technical Research: Horizon scanning to inform the wider business and mitigate future technical risks. Innovation: Identifying and delivering new construction concepts, systems, and processes that increase value for NHBC, customers, consumers, and the industry. Standards: Producing and evolving technical standards and guidance to mitigate insurance risk, define warranty standards, and promote consistency. Technical Competency: Developing and demonstrating technical competence to regulators, stakeholders, and customers. Responsibilities include: Supporting NHBC's Technical Risk Management Policy. Reviewing and maintaining NHBC's technical positions. Supporting TRM processes for warranty and building regulation compliance. Developing technical guidance and communications. Engaging with industry bodies and professional institutes. Resolving technical issues for colleagues and customers. Delivering team project work. Adhering to SOPs. Qualifications and experience: Relevant construction experience, understanding of home building technology, modern methods of construction, and statutory regulations. Strong communication skills and technical credibility. Proficient in MS Office. Good knowledge of house building, NHBC standards, and Building Regulations. Minimum RQF level 4 education.
