Well-Safe Solutions, Aberdeen, though there may be a requirement to visit and work at other company locations or supplier’s premises as required.
The postholder must be able to attend our global headquarters in Aberdeen.

Reporting Line:
The Well Engineering Delivery Manager will report directly to the Well Engineering Director.
Role:
The Well Engineering Delivery Manager will be responsible for planning and delivering well engineering designs and programmes, ensuring safe and efficient execution of P&A operations. Focused on engineering delivery, challenging designs to achieve ALARP, and coordinating contractors and resources.
Key responsibilities:
The Well Engineering Delivery Manager will be required to:
* Produce detailed, technically sound well designs and programs that meet regulatory and company standards.
* Challenge conventional approaches and drive designs toward ALARP principles for well decommissioning.
* Deliver accurate cost estimates, risk assessments, and engineering documentation on schedule.
* Manage and develop the engineering team, ensuring competency and high-quality outputs.
* Manage the engineering team and ensure timely delivery of all engineering work scopes.
* Coordinate with operations and subsurface to integrate plans and optimize execution.
* Embed lessons learned and innovative technologies into engineering design to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
* Provide engineering support during execution and contribute to incident investigations with actionable recommendations.
Key outcomes:
* P&A projects are resourced, planned and executed with positive outcomes for WSS.
* Well programs delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with ALARP principles for decommissioning.
* Engineering designs incorporate MAH considerations and demonstrate risk reduction through innovation.
* Lessons learned and new technologies embedded into engineering practices, improving efficiency and reliability.
* Effective collaboration with operations and subsurface functions, ensuring integrated planning and execution.

Knowledge & Competency:
* Expertise in well engineering design and P&A delivery.
* Ability to challenge norms and drive ALARP-based solutions.
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management.
* Knowledge of UKCS regulatory compliance and assurance processes.
* 5 years experience in well decommissioning projects and offshore operations.
* Familiarity with platform operations and rig readiness.
* Experience of Contractor and service provider management within alliance models.
* Understanding of OEUK Well Decommissioning Guidelines.
* Exposure to peer reviews and technical assurance reviews.
* Degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline appropriate to well engineering.
