Job Overview
This is a mobile-based position. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Engineer to join our growing engineering team.
Our Multi Skilled Technicians provide facilities support services across our client site. The role involves carrying out general electrical and fabric maintenance, as well as business support tasks. They will report to a Regional Operations Supervisor and assist engineers in reactive, planned, and ad hoc maintenance tasks.
Suitable training and up-skilling may be provided as needed to achieve competency in the responsibilities outlined below.
Working hours: Although the core hours are 08:00 to 17:00, flexibility may be available depending on individual circumstances.
Main Duties: Performing weekly and monthly planned maintenance tasks such as fire alarm tests, flushing outlets, water temperature recording, and emergency lighting tests, alongside first-line response to reactive repairs.
Additional responsibilities include minor building fabric repairs, decorating, plumbing, and general office maintenance. Ad hoc duties such as moves, changes, furniture management, and documentation of work orders may also be required. All tasks must comply with health, safety, and environmental policies, and excellent customer service should be maintained by keeping building occupants informed of work progress.
Qualifications and Experience
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* Experience in building maintenance, handyman, or janitorial duties
* Willingness to undertake further training
* Experience working in a customer-focused environment
* Flexible approach to work and hours (subject to EU Working Time Directive)
* Professional appearance, maintaining cleanliness and proper PPE usage
