Robert Half Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be partnering with an exciting, global business who are looking to appoint a Finance Analyst to join its UK Central Finance team based near Heathrow.
This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) who is looking to build strong financial accounting and reporting experience within a supportive and professional finance environment.
The role will give you exposure to month-end reporting, balance sheet management, group reporting processes and audit support, making it ideal for someone developing their technical accounting career.
The Role
Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will support core financial accounting processes and ensure accurate and timely reporting across several UK entities.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting and leading elements of the month-end close and financial reporting cycle
2. Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
3. Assisting with year-end financial close and statutory reporting requirements
4. Supporting internal and external audit processes
5. Preparing weekly cash flow reporting
6. Assisting with budget and forecast balance sheet preparation
7. Supporting overhead budgeting and month-end variance analysis
8. Maintaining IFRS 16 lease accounting records
9. Acting as a key point of contact for Group Finance queries and reporting requests
10. Liaising with Shared Service Centre to ensure accurate accounting entries
11. Preparing ONS statistical returns and supporting regulatory reporting
12. Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and project support
About You
We are looking for a motivated finance professional who is keen to continue developing within a technical accounting role.
You will likely have:
13. Experience working in a Finance Analyst, Assistant Accountant or similar role
14. Part-qualified status (ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with studies in progress
15. Experience supporting month-end processes and financial reporting
16. Strong Excel skills and good overall systems capability
17. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
18. The ability to communicate financial information clearly to a variety of stakeholders
19. A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
20. Experience with varied financial consolidation or reporting systems would be beneficial but is not essential.
