Transport Planner
Nantwich
£30,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE
Role Overview:
This position involves planning and scheduling deliveries, coordinating with multiple sites, drivers, and customer service teams to ensure timely and efficient transport operations. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Schedule deliveries in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
* Communicate plans to drivers, production sites, and external transport providers
* Monitor delivery progress and act as a point of contact for internal teams and customers
* Assist in maintaining vehicle compliance (MOT, servicing, cleaning schedules)
* Maintain accurate records and documentation
Requirements:
* Experience in routing 20+ vehicles (experience with rural or site-specific deliveries preferred)
* CPC qualification (or willingness to obtain with support)
* Strong communication skills (spoken and written English)
* Good numeracy, literacy, and IT proficiency (training provided for industry-specific software)
* Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
