Role: AHP Therapy Support Worker in the Major Trauma Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy teams. Location: Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. Band 4. Full-time: 37 hours.
Responsibilities
* Work flexibly with both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Teams across the Major Trauma service.
* Operate across hospital and Tayside-wide community settings with a delegated patient caseload.
* Assess patients’ care needs; modify existing treatment plans; progress/regress rehabilitation; reassess/discharge within the agreed scope of practice.
* Participate in service development activities and undertake administrative and housekeeping duties as required.
* Support weekend working in line with the evidence base and strategic direction of NHS Tayside.
* Comply with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Experience as a support worker within Occupational Therapy and/or Physiotherapy services in a care setting.
* Ability to work across OT and PT teams and support rehabilitation goals.
