About Our Client

The UK head office is a small, high-performing team, supporting multiple businesses with finance, reporting and operational growth

Job Description

3. Coordinate monthly reporting for 13+ UK subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate submission of TBs, P&L, and balance sheet data
4. Full bookkeeping responsibility for selected subsidiaries, including: Bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, journals; Accounts payable and receivable; VAT returns and supporting schedules Payroll postings and intercompany journals
5. Review subsidiary submissions and proactively resolve discrepancies
6. Support standardisation of reporting templates, controls, and accounting processes
7. Work closely with subsidiary finance contacts, founders, and managers
8. Assist with ad‑hoc financial analysis and group‑wide process improvements
9. Provide additional cover during transition periods (e.g. departing bookkeepers, part‑time resource gaps)

The Successful Applicant

You're an experienced, dependable accounting professional who enjoys working across multiple businesses and managing a variety of responsibilities. You can switch comfortably between transactional detail and month‑end processes, and you take pride in accuracy, ownership and consistency.You'll bring:

10. 7+ years' experience in bookkeeping, accounting or assistant accountant roles
11. Strong understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping and month‑end processes
12. Hands‑on experience with Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and strong Excel skills
13. AAT qualified or equivalent experience
14. Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and prioritise effectively
15. A collaborative, approachable style - equally comfortable speaking to factory staff and senior leaders
16. A practical, down‑to‑earth attitude that fits a friendly, flat‑structured team
