Metals Analyst - A Rewarding Career Opportunity
A successful candidate's main roles and responsibilities will be as follows;
* Testing, segregating and sorting incoming material
This requires in-depth knowledge and awareness of common Nickel & Cobalt Superalloy material specifications, particularly from the aerospace and industrial gas turbine industries. The ability to use a handheld XRF metal analyser is essential for this role.
Filing in relevant Sort Report's and passing on to Sorting Supervisor - ensuring all relevant information is collated and written down correctly for any sorts you have been involved in.
Returning goods to stock when needed, filling in stock movement sheets & maintaining a tidy work environment
Metal Processing - loading and unloading lorries and containers and processing and packing metal ready for sale
The ideal candidate should possess academic or trade qualifications and hold GCSE grade of C or above in English & Maths (or equivalent college course qualifications).
In addition, a full, clean driving license and Fork Lift Truck license are also required.
Working Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 7am-2.30pm or 7.30am to 3pm or 8am to 3.30pm (with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break)
Friday: 6am-1.30pm or 6.30am to 2pm or 7am to 2.30pm (with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break)
Shift timings may be rotated to suit the needs of the business, with occasional afternoon/night shift work required.
