Technical Engineer - Water Treatment
Our client, a leading company in the water treatment and hygiene industry with over 35 years of experience, is seeking a proactive and skilled Technical Engineer to join their dynamic team in a largely autonomous, field-based role.
Responsibilities
* Commissioning and servicing of water treatment equipment.
* Carrying out specialist water hygiene/water treatment tasks.
* Conducting technical site surveys.
* Producing site-specific method statements, technical reports, and commissioning checklists.
* Fault diagnosis and repairs.
* Project management.
* Delivering practical, technical training to engineers and customers.
* Supporting various departments with technical queries and solutions.
What We're Looking For
* Extensive knowledge and understanding of a wide range of water treatment plants, including Water Softeners, UV Systems, Filtration Systems, and various chemical dosing systems.
* In-depth understanding of critical documents such as HSG274 and ACoP L8.
* An understanding of water treatment chemistry.
* Good computing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* A Full Valid UK Driving licence.
* Excellent planning, organising, and communication skills.
* Integrity, honesty, and a professional demeanor.
* The ability to be a flexible problem solver.
Location and Benefits
Location: While the role is field-based, you should ideally be located within 40 miles of the company\'s office in Wokingham, Berkshire.
Salary: Dependant on experience.
Holidays: 22 days per year plus bank holidays.
Working Hours: Generally 40 hours per week on-site.
