Credit ControllerLocation: Stockton-on-Tees
Contract: Ongoing temporary contract
Salary: Equivalent to £30,000 per annum paid on a timesheet basis
Start Date: Immediate
Hays are currently recruiting for a credit controller to join a busy finance team within a well-establishedpany based in Stockton-on-Tees. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for an immediate start to cover a period of long-term sickness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing your own ledger and chasing outstanding debt
2. Contacting customers via telephone and email to secure payment
3. Resolving invoice and account queries efficiently
4. Allocating cash and reconciling accounts
5. Reducing aged debt and meeting collection targets
6. Liaising with internal teams to resolve discrepancies
Key Requirements:
7. Previous experience in a Credit Control role
8. Strongmunication and negotiation skills
9. Confident using accounting/finance systems and Excel
10. Ability to work to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
11. Available to start immediately
