: We are a Global IT Solutions company, looking to bring in a hybrid-based Infrastructure SME, specifically experienced in working on Windows servers and VMware. Role Outline: You will configure and install all server hardware, including VMware, the Windows OS and administrative tools of Microsoft, such as MDT, MBAM, and SCOM, as well as products procured from third parties, onto the systems. You'll build, configure, assess, and recommend hardware and software, depending on customer focus. You will also work closely with other IT teams to maintain a smooth operation. For this position, we are looking for candidates who already hold Security Clearance or are willing and able to obtain it. This may be up to the level of DV. Additionally, this is a UK-based position, with a requirement to be a British Citizen, due to the nature of the 3rd party clients you will be working closely with. Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and desktop systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows and Intel-based systems. Work with other IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of the organization's IT systems. Participate in the design and implementation of new systems and infrastructure. Provides basic technical support to customers by handling systems-related issues; may provide on-call technical support telephonically and/or electronically. Performs routine repairs, maintenance and upgrades of existing systems using solutions in accordance with standard operating procedures. Investigates and resolves matters of significance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study, with at least 8 years of experience in the relevant field. SC cleared, OR eligible for full clearance. Microsoft Certified: Windows Server 2019 or later. Experience with Intel-based systems as well as VMware experience. Experience working with computer hardware and operating system software. Experience working with one or more structured programming languages. Communication skills to provide systems diagnoses and resolution for current systems.
