Regional Dairy Sales Manager Location: Penrith Area, Cumbria Employment Type: Full-Time ( Remote role ) Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 ( DEO ) plus other benefits Overview: A respected provider of specialist ruminant nutrition solutions is seeking a Regional Dairy Sales Manager to support and grow its customer base across the Penrith area and surrounding counties. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with progressive dairy producers, delivering tailored nutritional advice and on-farm support that improves herd performance and farm profitability. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing dairy clients while developing new business across the region. Provide on-farm nutritional advice and technical support to dairy farmers, including ration formulation and feed efficiency strategies. Promote a portfolio of specialist nutrition products, including feed additives, forage treatments, and microbial supplements. Conduct forage sampling, data collection, and analysis to inform decision-making. Coordinate with the technical and laboratory teams to ensure optimal results for each farm’s unique requirements. Represent the business at agricultural shows, technical meetings, and industry events. Maintain accurate records of customer activity using CRM tools. Stay up to date with industry trends, herd management techniques, and regional challenges affecting dairy production. Candidate Requirements: Proven experience in the dairy industry, ideally in a technical sales, advisory, or farm management capacity. Strong understanding of ruminant nutrition and herd health principles. A proactive and consultative sales approach, with excellent relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and manage your own territory and schedule. Competent in analysing technical data and translating it into practical, on-farm solutions. Full UK driving licence required. Desirable: Qualification in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related discipline. Experience working in a similar sales or technical advisory role. Familiarity with feed formulation software and nutritional planning tools.
