Our client in Inverness is looking for a General Manager to lead the team alongside a team of experienced directors.
Reporting to the senior management team and working in a friendly and accommodating working environment, as a General Manager, you will have overall accountability for the people and financial performance of your dealership. Your responsibilities will involve the following:
6. Lead, manage and motivate a team of automotive professionals, ensuring the dealership is adequately resourced.
7. Drive a high-performance culture, ensuring performance is rewarded and underperformance is managed.
8. Oversee the sales and after-sales divisions, ensuring performance meets or exceeds budget.
9. Set financial and growth objectives for each department, and plan accordingly to ensure profit and product targets are met.
10. Accurately finalise dealership reporting, in line with our client's group reporting frameworks.
11. Develop and roll out dealership marketing and publicity strategies to support objectives.
12. Support the dealership to consistently achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
13. Ensure dealership activities are conducted in line with our client's and their manufacturers' requirements.
Our client requires a Head of Business/Dealer Principal/General Manager to join and drive their business forward. You might have already run a dealership, or you could be looking to take the next step up. In addition to your previous experience, our client is seeking an individual who displays strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate, a professional and calm approach with strong stakeholder management skills to manage internal and external stakeholders, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to foresee potential barriers. A UK driving licence with minimal points is also essential.
