3 x Oil & Products Trading Analysts - Progress to Traders - £76k basic + package
Global Physical Oil Trading Commodity Trading House seeks 3 x dynamic Trading Analysts to join their Oil & Products team in London.
Working 3 days from their Central London office and 2 days working from home, you'll join the asset backed commodity trading arm of a global Oil & Gas Major. Reporting into the Head of the Trading Desk, you will work closely with Trading, Operations, Middle Office and Back Office, with a view to progressing you to be a Trader within 2 years.
There are no guarantees, but the intention is for these Trading Analysts to progress to become Traders within 2 years, after establishing themselves, so these positions are ideal for trading Analysts, Risk Analysts, BAs etc keen to utilize their Oil & Products Trading knowledge and develop a career into Trading.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the Oil & Products Traders in analysing market data to help execute trades, ensuring exposure position and P&L reports are accurate, helping to book physical transactions accurately, working with Middle Office for P&L, exposure and pricing reconciliation.
2. Market analysis, preparing various reports, spreadsheet and research projects
3. Risk management and market monitoring, working with counterparties as instructed by the traders
Salary: £76k basic + bonus + benefits
Key skills & experience:
4. 3 years+ experience working in an Oil & Products Trading department of another rmajor Oil Trading business or could be within a smaller trading business, with some exposure to Physical Trading, working in either a similar Trading Analyst role, Middle Office, Operations or Oil Trading CTRM Business Analyst role
5. Degree educated from a good university in a relevant discipline (Maths, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, IT etc)
6. Advanced knowledge of Excel VBA
7. SQL & Python are useful but not essential
8. UK or Irish passport or hold a visa allowing you to live and work in the UK without any sponsoring needed
