DRAINAGE OPERATIVE - WELLINGTON KEY POINTS Permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week) Salary up to £31,285 plus enhanced overtime rates Wellington-based, commutable distance Long-term training, progression, and stable workload ABOUT THE CLIENT Due to continued growth, we're supporting an established UK specialist in drainage and wastewater services as they expand their operational team. The organisation works closely with the water industry and construction sector, delivering inspection, maintenance, and large-scale infrastructure projects nationwide. THE DRAINAGE OPERATIVE ROLE: As a Drainage Operative, you'll begin by learning the fundamentals of the drainage industry while working alongside experienced operatives on CCTV and jetting vehicles. You'll gain hands-on experience inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining drainage networks, supporting work for local water authorities, construction projects, and wider infrastructure operations. Following initial training, you'll develop a broad understanding of best-practice approaches, equipment usage, and job preparation. You'll assist vehicle leads to deliver work efficiently and safely, with opportunities to support larger-scale projects across other specialist teams, including tank and siphon cleaning. Working away from home may be required as part of the role.
